Judyth Piazza, The Italian American Oprah Prepares for The Release of Her Book

Posted on 17 February 2011 by Judyth Piazza

Her listeners on TheSOP Radio Network know journalist and radio host Judyth Piazza for the sweetness of her voice and the appeal of her inspiring work and the successful people that she features on her radio show, The American Perspective. Now, Judyth is getting close to the release of her first book, expected to be out by end of June this year.

Judyth Piazza is currently the CEO and managing editor of theSOP.org, which started as an essentially student-operated press, publishing news, views, article, reviews, interviews, and a wide range of articles from writers around the world. The special feature of the site is, but of course, Judyth’s online radio show The American Perspective where she talks to guests from all walks of life, featuring the significant work they have been doing in their respective fields. To date, Judyth has done over 4000 interviews on the show, and the count is on as the show gets ever more popular with time.

Judyth’s book will include select items from her years of work in media, like her interviews with her guests on The American Perspective, along with the healthy activities in her own life such as her exercise and fitness routine. Currently, the title of the book is a tightly kept secret and rumor has it that it is going to be a sample from Judyth’s exciting life and career, including testimonials and quotes about her achievements. The book will be published by Von Chase Publishing with a foreword written by the publisher, Chase Von.

In her recent interview published on Digital Journal while discussing TheSOP Radio Network, Judyth explained the significance of online media in showing the alternative side of the world, and life, to an audience that is otherwise politically bombarded by biased media sources. Her fans will be looking forward to welcoming Judyth Piazza with open arms into the world of publishing as a messenger of objectivity and clear vision. For Judyth, every venture is a fresh turn in life. And her debutant book is the next one to enjoy.

Don’t Miss Superheroes at the Brevard Art Museum

Posted on 13 February 2011 by VBnewswire

MELBOURNE, FL – Holy smokes! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s superheroes at the Brevard Art Museum! Saturday, February 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Release your alter ego, free admission for anyone in a superhero costume.

On display in the Museum are the exhibitions: Students of the Unusual: Brevard County Comic Books, Superheroes: Photographs by Dulce Pinzón, the Batpod motorcycle from Parker Brothers Choppers, the Dark Knight Batman Costume, vintage comics including Spiderman #1, original art by famous comic book artists Graham Nolan and Allen Bellman, artist for Golden Age “Captain America” comic books, and the Twenty-first Annual Brevard County Student Art Exhibition.

What do Superheroes and comics have to do with art? Comics emphasize an interdependence of image and text. Defined by some scholars as “sequential art” there is no dispute that images in comics are essential to narrating a story or dramatizing an idea. Graphic artists use the crafts of draftsmanship and scripting, to complete the whole picture; this is accomplished through pacing, drama, humor, suspense, composition, thematic development, and irony. Sequential art is an important tool for conveying the power of ideas and its ability to convey messages effectively is dependent on the skill of the artist.

The Students of the Unusual comic book project developed from a friendship of four like-minded individuals, Terry Cronin, Jeff Hall, Bob Lizek, and Pat Martin, who decided to make films. “The Students of the Unusual comic book project developed from our experiences in independent film and started as storyboards for some of our wilder ideals,” says Cronin, “but it has always been grounded in our love and respect of the comic art form.” Writers Cronin and Martin enlisted the aid of many talented graphic design artists including Jorge Calamato, Sergio Carriello, Luis Diaz, Dove McHargue, and others to craft visual stories, many of which are set in and around Melbourne.

A fascination with superheroes inspired local chopper artists the Parker Brothers to re-create Batman’s Batpod motorcycle. Fueled by a desire to showcase their artistic and engineering capabilities, the Parker Brothers reveled in the challenge of recreating the Batpod from “The Dark Knight” movie. Designed as a “full scale 1:1 working replica,” the steel and fiberglass machine is powered by nitrous-injected, 650cc engine and wears 508mm tires, grappling hooks, and all manner of faux weaponry including grenade launchers and .50 caliber machine guns. The Parker Brothers Batpod, a unity of inspiration and engineering, exemplifies the Museum’s ideology: “where art and science intersect, where culture and technology thrive.”

Superheroes of another kind are the muse of Mexican photographer and former New York resident Dulce Pinzón. She photographs documented Mexican migrant workers of New York City at their jobs while wearing superhero costumes. Each portrait’s caption includes the worker’s real life name, hometown in Mexico and the amount of money they send to Mexico each week. Her meditations on the concept of heroes led her to shine a spotlight on those who labor quietly but make daily sacrifices to help others.

Also on display will be original drawings by well-known comic book artist Graham Nolan. Nolan is co-creator of the villain Bane who will be featured in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises Batman movie.

Visual storytelling is a technique employed by many artists. The Museum is devoted, through its various exhibitions and programs, to making audiences aware of other forms of art in Brevard County.

A Leader Worth Following: Failure is Not An Option

Posted on 07 February 2011 by VBnewswire

Since the beginning, my experience with Judyth Piazza and The SOP News Network has been rewarding. I enjoy working with people who show commitment in everything they do, making me feel less of a contributor but instead a valued family member.

Judyth Piazza has been a fabulous mentor, the wisdom and knowledge she has shared with me has been useful in so many ways. Being a relatively young writer, Judyth has provided me with a plethora of knowledge and resources for the benefit of my writing projects. Her recommendations and insights have further enabled me to improve my craft. With her support, not only have I enhanced my writing capabilities, but gained a better appreciation for the overall craft.

Being a college student, (especially under the current world climate we find ourselves in) I find myself at odds with the functions of the world surrounding me. Not so much for the natural world but for how our society functions in general. As a wildlife major, my appreciation for wildlife and nature is beyond words. I yearn for a world at peace with nature and people. Anybody who reads my writings know that nature has a huge influence over my work, I like to think of nature as a character rather than just a setting.

A huge portion of writing happens for the most part by surprise, which is what I enjoy about the whole writing process. In my opinion, surprise is everything. The joy of writing by impulse is the spontaneity of it all, the surprise that just so happens to come with it is the result of you finally opening your heart to the possibilities out there, allowing me to further enjoy the process of writing. In the end, it enables me to attempt to begin to understand the power that words actually wield.

While working with TheSOP.org and Judyth I feel that I’ve been provided with an outlet to further express my opinions and ideas. With their support, I’ve been able to write articles on a variety of topics; additionally helping me by allowing me to express my view on a number of different issues. I stand today; having a combination of perseverance, patience, and integrity gained by what life I’ve lived so far. My hope is that my writing reflects that, as I attempt to reflect these values in everything I do.

Posted on 02 February 2011 by Judyth Piazza

Judyth Piazza chats with John Basedow about 10 Tips for Nutrition Success (Click Here to Listen to Audio Interview)

John Basedow has achieved international recognition and created a media empire with Fitness Made Simple, which includes DVDs, CDs, supplements, and infomercials all aimed at raising awareness about the importance of making fitness a part of your life. From starting out in his parent`s basement to being seen on television sets across the country and deemed a pop culture icon,” John`s journey is a true rags to riches story. He`s been featured on numerous TV and radio shows as well as in print media including the Los Angeles Times, the National Examiner, and the New York Times.

John has appeared as a model in or has written articles for just about every major exercise magazine. He`s a regular guest on radio programs across the United States and is the star of a reality series, John Basedow TV, which is based on his life.

John helps out various charities including The American Heart Association and St. Jude Children`s Research Hospital and motivates others to follow their dreams with his popular Power to Change Your Body & Life Seminars nationwide.

Discover John Basedow`s secrets for getting the body you`ve always wanted

Fitness expert and media icon John Basedow`s body-transforming plan is literally Fitness Made Simple. After trying just about every fitness fad and gimmick with little success, John developed this multidimensional approach that is improving the bodies and lives of thousands of men and women, from teenagers to grandparents. Fitness Made Simple is not just about losing weight. It`s about changing your entire body composition so that you increase lean muscle mass and decrease body fat. This easy-to-follow program eliminates all the guesswork for building the body of your dreams with John`s comprehensive Fitness Triangle:

Nutrition: By concentrating on natural protein sources, healthy fats, and slow-digesting carbs, you`ll never be hungry, your junk food cravings will disappear, and fat will melt from your body.

Exercise: Utilizing a combination of cardiovascular and weight training workouts, you`ll look great, feel better, and strip away fat to reveal those six-pack abs!

Supplementation: Not all supplements are created equal. John shows you which fat loss and muscle building products can actually produce cosmetically significant results, rather than just false hope and a depleted bank account.

Plus, John tells his own inspiring story of how he took control of his body and life, while accumulating years of health and fitness wisdom along the way. His signature John-isms –helpful quotes sprinkled throughout this book–will keep you motivated to stick with your new fitness lifestyle.

3 New Books Released For Neglected Market: America’s 75 million Catholics

Posted on 18 January 2011 by VBnewswire

Often neglected Catholic readers now have 3 new and unusual releases widely available.

Vero House Publishing, of Vero Beach Florida, has released three very different books for a very neglected market: America’s 75 million Catholics.

“Until I Return: Dawn of the Shining Darkness,” by Kenneth E. Nowell, is a Spiritual thriller based on prophecies of saints. This edge-of-your-seat, modern-day tale weaves two thousand years of Church history with the true prophecies you don’t know and the urgent warning you should never forget. The book’s unusual and, sometimes, provocative story makes this novel an ideal choice for Catholic book clubs. Catholic Answers Forums named it a top 10 pick for 2010 Catholic books.

Just out, is “Catholic Answers to Protestant Questions: A Concise Summary,” by Fr. John J. Pasquini. It is a convincing defense of Catholic beliefs based on Scripture and the Traditions that originated with Jesus and the Apostles. From the convert in RCIA class, to the cradle Catholic who has become forgetful or luke-warm in the faith, this simple yet profound guide is a book every Catholic will treasure.

Finally, “Transformed by Trouble: From Misfortune to Miracles,” by Ruth Werkowski, is an uplifting tale of triumph over tragedy. This lovingly faithful memoir describes how the author’s home and possessions were destroyed, and the prayers, messages and Miracles that allowed her and her husband to overcome their losses with an even greater faith.

All three books are available wherever books are sold or through the publisher’s website at www.VeroHousePublishing.com.
