Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Treasure Coast Community Health

Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH) opened another location at 1555 U.S. 1, Suite 105, VB. TCCH is a healthcare home to nearly 20,000 and provides pediatrics, primary medical care and behavioral healthcare.

An open house will be held Wednesday, December 14th from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.; ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. with opening remarks from County Commissioner Gary Wheeler.

TCCH accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances, and charges on a floating fee scale for uninsured. For appointments, 772-257-8224.

A Fun-Raiser and Benefit for By the River

SEBASTIAN, FL, OCTOBER 11, 2011 — “Up the River with a Paddle,” the first-ever paddling race on the beautiful St. Sebastian River, is coming up on Nov. l9th. It is open to competitive and recreational paddlers of all ages and skill levels – Kayakers, canoers, paddle boarders and anyone who can make it up the river with a paddle! Grab the family and enjoy this fun day on the river with food, entertainment, raffle and prizes.  Races include short and long distances and the “Beat Mike Beck Challenge” for cash prizes. Groups, clubs and businesses can compete for the title of “Best Team in the County” in a giant, Elephant Canoe. The event will be held on Nov. l9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dale Wimbrow Park, 11805 Roseland Road, Sebastian, FL. It is sanctioned by the American Canoe Association (ACA) and is being coordinated by Florida Outdoor Center.  Proceeds will benefit By the River, the area’s independent residential community for low-income seniors (for more information, please visit www.BytheRiver.org). Organizers aim to draw paddlers from around the state and make this an annual community-wide event.
