Why is that any different for gays and lesbians? If they have a partner, or if you are not interested and don’t send the wrong vibes, they don’t just start hitting on you for no reason. Yet, people have a weird fear that if they are around gay people; they will get hit upon and eventually be forced to have uncool homosex. That is the acme of homophobia, and to any homosexual, nothing is stranger than that.

Yet a great deal of political controversy is being raised over the issue of gay and lesbian cruises. If you are on a cruise, having got some cruise deals for yourself and the family, you are sort of limited by the diversity of the company you can possibly have. So, earlier, on a cruise, a straight man or woman could not have avoided meeting and cavorting with, gays and lesbians. This tended to hike up homophobia, given the cloistered circumstances and the nature of the rendezvous. People felt that if straight people went out on a cruise with gay people, they would be less straight when they returned.

Unfounded fears, but these have gained some political traction with the introduction of gay and lesbian focused cruises. People who don’t like, hate, or want to kill gays have begun saying that gays and lesbians should have their own, special cruises. This is another way of saying that gays and lesbians should not be allowed into cruises of normal people. The next step is segregation of cruise lines along sexual orientation, which, if it happens, will be another battle lost for tolerance.
